Exelus provides a wide range of materials, suitable for prototyping and end-use products. Selecting the right material for any given application is very important. At Exelus we take into consideration factors like strength, flexibility, temperature resistance, cost, etc. before suggesting to the client.
Following are the most common applications for 3D printed parts and their most commonly used materials:
- Machine Tooling: Includes parts that are used to support the manufacturing process. E.g. Jigs and Fixtures, Moulds, Master for mould making, etc.
- Visual Prototype: The visual prototype helps to exhibit the final product’s size, shape, colour, etc. It allows the user to physically feel the 3D design of the final product
- Functional prototypes are made to test the functionalities of the final product as precisely as possible, regardless of how different they appear. These prototypes are made for products that are more concerned with the function than with the appearance.
- End-Use Product: A product that is intended to be used as an actual (final) product for its given application.
